Are bold expressions of faith appropriate during the World Cup ?

The World Cup is a composite of hundreds of players from varying faiths. Some men make the sign of the cross in a prayer for victory. Some men bow to the floor when they make a goal. While others point to the sky as if to say God is with us. Are such expressions of faith appropriate during sports tourneys such as the World Cup or do they incite divisions and tensions?
