The commodification of Islam never looked so stinky! I found a pair of these piety socks in downtown Amman once. They are sheer proof (pun intended) that the label “Islamic” is one of the most abused adjectives in the world today.Islamic behavior, Islamic opinion, Islamic people, Islamic country.. what is that, exactly? What makes socks Islamic? An exotic looking Islamic woman on the cover?
