N.Y. man gets an 11½ year sentence over threats to “South Park” writers

Jesse Curtis Morton, who also goes by the name Younus Abdullah Muhammad, was sentenced to 11½ years in prison after admitting to making threats against “South Park” writers over the show’s depiction of the Prophet Muhammad. The New York convert ran a website along with Zachary Chesser of Virginia, who was sentenced in 2010 to 25 years in prison over the threats, encouraging Muslims to fight perceived enemies of Islam. According to court documents, the men posted the writers’ addresses and encouraged people to “pay them a visit.” The episode in question depicted the Prophet in a bear suit.
