Mariam Elba

Mariam Elba is a native New Yorker with roots in Egypt. She writes on issues related to social justice, urban communities and underrepresented communities in the U.S. and the Middle East. She is pursuing a Master's in Journalism and Middle Eastern studies at New York University. She is a Fall/Winter 2015/16 intern at America ReFramed. Viewpoints expressed are her own.
